IMPLEMENTATION OF BARCODE AND QR-CODE SCANNER ON ANDROID APPS RETAIL SHOP APPLICATION BASED ON CLOUD COMPUTING BASED ON LAPLACIAN SHARPENING METHOD

Abstract

Retail business had been very fast growing all over the place, this is proven by the large number of retail stores in many different places. To support this business required the application of the post (Point Of Sale) that is able to help calculate the billing transactions. Currently, android is an OS that is very popular. Android users are increasingly growing. This is offset by the large number of application developers who are in the playstore also increasingly numerous. In this research-based P.O.S application development android and cloud computing can be applied. The barcode image have to be read by the barcode scanner by android Phone within the application. Before we read the barcode images, it must be sharpened by using laplacian sharpening methods.Then do a comparison between the barcode image before sharpened and after. On Final Result , On Barcode image that has been sharpened is can be read faster than before, which is can be proven by compared with the average value 3.05 s of response. On Qr-CodeĀ image after it has been sharpened, the average respone value is 0.398 s more faster than before, In addition the development of cloud computing-based android application successfully developed in this research
